Ep. 136: Games Are Alive! Immersive Ecosystems!

Hey there Cubies! Immersion is something that all designers try to create in their games. It gives the player the illusion the game is alive and that all choices made by the player matter. While a lot of this is just an illusion created by the designers there are some games out there that push this to new heights. Games like Rain World use AI to generate everything from the animations to the behaviors that the animals follow. We are starting to see more games using AI in the creation process, but what else can it be used for? Can it make a truly endless game? Make NPCs react to everything changing in their world, all the while based on their behavior patterns? The possibilities are truly endless.
