Hey there Cubies! As gamers get older the games they love need to age with them. Franchises have done this for years across multiple sources of media. And there is a common way. in which. games have tried to keep up with the times. That is by making a gritty. reboot of their franchise. Sometimes this goes great, and other times it tends to be too much of a departure from the original message of the game. And with the release of Final Fantasy 16 and the fact that it is actually. rated M for mature we are now seeing grit in a franchise that has been accessible by all audiences before. But why. is this such a common practice? Is it just. a way to shock people into looking at their game or movie? Or is it a reaction to the age of their target audience?
